Saturday, we went to a BBQ in Everett with some people Jon used to work with – Shawn & Jila and their 2 kids; LeAnn and her two kids (Dean couldn’t make it); Shannon and her husband Neil, and Dawnell with her two kids. I’ve met all of these people previously, except for Dawnell who used to be Jon’s roommate a long time ago. Shawn, though I’m sure he doesn’t remember, was actually the one that hired me to work at Haggett back in 1993. It was a fun time. It was fun to listen to all their stories back before I started at Haggett. And all the kids are really cute!! I think they’re planning on another BBQ later this summer.
(Very much off topic – but there was this woman at the park we went to that looked like the female version of this serial killer from the show Cold Case. Kinda creepy.)
Anyway, on Sunday, Jon’s parents and Tanya came up to visit. They wanted to go the Underground Tour, so we went downtown to go on the tour. This was my 3rd time through the tour. Each time, I’ve learned something different so I enjoyed it. After the tour, we went out to dinner at the Olive Garden. Yum!
One thing I learned this time is that a couple can actually get married down there – that would be a pretty unique wedding!
