L is for Lost

That was the first word that popped into my head so Lost it is.

Lost, the TV show or just feeling lost? Probably both.

I enjoyed the tv show – that show had a way of making me want to learn more. Like if they showed a book, I had to know what it was about and why they would show it on the show.

I also feeling a bit lost – as in, how in the world am I going to get done all I need to get done in a 40 hour work week and at home? How? I don’t even know where to begin. Sigh.

That’s all I have time for today. Maybe I’ll have the M post up on time on Monday, but I’m thinking probably not.

D is for Downton Abbey

Everyone has been talking about this show, so I’ve watched most of it. Just 2 hours left of the show to watch. I liked it o.k. but I’m not sure what the huge fuss is about. I’ll continue watching though since it is a little intriguing with the look at the life in the 1910s and 1920s.

Another show that I’ve heard a lot about but haven’t watched is Mad Men. I’d like to start watching that but we’ll see. I still want to read 105 books this year and so far, I might be on track for that…maybe. I’m at 26 books right now.

What shows have you started to watch recently or what shows do you want to watch?

Lost. As in the TV show that went off the year a while ago. I was hooked on this tv show as I know many others were. What I liked about it was all the mystery and trying to figure out any possible hidden meanings behind things – like a book that the camera zoomed in on or a character was reading. I know a lot of people were irritated by that and with the lack of answers, but I still count this show as one of my all-time favorite shows.

Another show that I love that went off the air a while ago is Friends. I thought that show was perfect – the cast and the writing. I miss it sometimes.

Other honorable mentions:

Veronica Mars – soooo sad they cancelled that one.!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel – Miss those shows!

These days I managed to get around to watching:

Glee

Survivor

Game of Thrones  (I really need to start reading those books)

Walking Dead

True Blood (love the Sookie Stackhouse series)

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (one day, I hope to be in the audience)

and eventually I’ll watch this season of The Office that I have on my DVR.

What are your all-time favorite shows? What do you watch now?

Even Stevphen

I have plenty to do, but I just had to come across old clips of Even Stevphen from The Daily Show – some of these are quite funny.

Apparently, SciFi is looking into making Children of Men into a TV series. I only hope that the tv show is closer to the book than the movie was- that really wouldn’t take much.

I’ll have to watch it to see.

TV Talk

Does anyone else watch The Amazing Race?

I’m wondering why they feel the need for the goth couple to state “dating goths”. Why can’t they just say they are dating like the other couples on the show?

And how I wish that one bickering couple was gone already. I was sad to see the sister/brother team go.

Huh – this will be my 714th entry.

If you are interested in seeing some videos of Benjamin & Ella talking and of Benjamin and Ella holding hands – go to my other blog. So, so cute! This morning, I woke up to Benjamin talking to something or someone. Jon tells me that he talked to him some more and told him more stories about his adventures with the bears – the things we think our children are telling us. And Ella gave him a nice big poopy diaper just as they were leaving to go to daycare – Jon thinks so Ella could talk with him some more. She tends to be the most talkative when her diaper is being changed.

Also, new pictures on my flickr site – including one of Benjamin and Ella with Santa. Link to the right.

On another topic, I was watching How I Met Your Mother last night. This last episode reminded me of a Friends episode when each friend was sharing a secret of the another friend. Anywho, the reason I brought it up was the whole loud eating thing – Jon says I chew loudly and I think I might as one of my cube mates mentioned she thinks of eating chips each time I open up a bag of chips (got a bunch of snack packs at Cos*tco). I took that to mean I chew them loudly.

On yet another topic, we are going to be spending Thanksgiving with my in-laws. I’m glad that they are coming over, but it’s too bad that my mother-in-law doesn’t like Thanksgiving. I do wonder why. Thank you for the invitation Ally & Kendra.

Well, I had better go. I have some things to do before my lunch hour runs out.

Oh no!

So I’ve heard a little bit about the possible writer’s strike – not really thinking much of it. I’ve got some reality tv to watch and well, things to do around the house that I didn’t think that this would impact me, but…

now it just might. The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are shows that I watch whenever I have the chance. I really like these shows, so I hope the strike doesn’t happen but it sounds like it could.

Speaking of Stephen Colbert, I read yesterday that the Democrats in SC don’t want Colbert on the ballot there, so they aren’t going to let him. WTH? Are they really that afraid of him? They say they don’t want him on there since he’s not a serious candidate and doing this as a joke. Whatever. If he has the money to be on the ballot, why shouldn’t he be able to whether he’s serious about it or not?

Apparently, he can get on the ballot as an independent if he gets 10,000 signatures.

Two TV Shows

If anyone is interested, on January 14, the National Geographic Channel is airing a show entitled In the Womb: Multiples. I am so looking forward to watching this show. Lately, I’ve been a bit of a DVR recording fanatic when it comes to all shows baby related – especially ones that talk about twins or conception from IVF.

Jon and I watched In the Womb: Animals the other day and it was really quite interesting. They talked about dolphins, elephants and dogs in the womb.

Nothing

I don’t really have anything to write about today, but since I’m trying to write a post every day for NaBloPoMo, I’m going to write something down.

I was thinking of trying to work on my novel, but I feel so freaking tired. Maybe I’ll work on it for a bit before going to bed. Oh, but I think Oliver wants to play. He’s circling the desk right now wanting some attention from me.

I just finished watching Heroes from last night. I really enjoy that show. I cannot wait for the next episode. I’m finding I enjoy this show more than I enjoy Lost these days.

I also watched The Bachelor: The Women Tell All – I don’t know why I watch this show, but I do…sometimes. All I have to say about that is – is that Erica girl for real? It amazes me that there are people out there in the world like her – she is such a bitch!

Well, that is all. I must give attention to my kitty.
